IATA solution for the cold chain With the CEIV in Pharmaceutical Handling program, IATA aims to workclosely with industry and regulators to raise the bar and make airfreight the modal choice for the transportation of pharmaceuticalproducts. This will help professionals to demonstrate the quality oftheir services and capture new business.

The program will assess an organization's cool chain processes andfacilities and verify compliance with all applicable internationalstandards and guidelines. These include the EU, World HealthOrganization (WHO) and the United States Pharmacopeia. Additionally, thepharmaceutical handling training status of all personnel will bereviewed and skills training provided if required to raise the level ofcompetency within the organization.

ISO 9001:2008

ISO 9001 Bio Pharma Logistics holds an ISO 9001:2008 certification in compliance with GDP, GMP & GSP requirements. The ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9000 family of standards for quality management systems is designed to help organizations ensure they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders. ISO 9000 deals with the fundamentals of quality management systems, including the eight management principles upon which the family of standards is based. To be certified, a company must go through an independent, third-party certification body that can confirm that the company meets the ISO 9001 requirements. Over a million organizations worldwide have been certified so far, making ISO 9001 one of the most widely used management tools in the world today.

ISO 14001:2004

ISO 14001 ISO 14000 is similar to ISO 9000 quality management in that both pertain to the process of how a product is produced, rather than to the product itself. As with ISO 9000, certification is performed by third-party organizations rather than being awarded by ISO directly. The requirements of ISO 14000 are an integral part of the European Union‘s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS). EMAS‘s structure and material requirements are more demanding, foremost concerning performance improvement, legal compliance and reporting duties.

IATA Bio Pharma Logistics is accredited as an IATA Cargo & Accredited Agent. IATA (International Air Transport Association) is the world governing body for the airline industry. It represents 93% of scheduled international air traffic, and around 230 airlines worldwide. IATA IATA accreditation provides agents like Bio Pharma Logistics with industry recognition of their financial and professional competence, and offers airlines a worldwide distribution network of approved agents to sell their product. The relationship between member airlines and registered cargo agents is dealt with by a set of IATA resolutions. These government-approved rules establish the rights and obligations of both airline and agent, as well as the procedures and requirements for agents who wish to obtain and to maintain industry accreditation.
